  • Complete written homework, Lessons 5 & 6

  • Practice one octave G major scale with arpeggio

  • Practice D major scale with arpeggio

  • Practice e minor scale with arpeggio

  • Quartet (Devon, Abria, Jeremiah, Deanne and Arrington) - Practice Symphony #5 up to AT LEAST letter C

  • Quartet (Anissa, Morgan, Demi, Lindsay) - Practice #141 & 142 on pg. 35 in Essential Elements book

 

November 1st, 2014

  • Complete written homework, Lessons 5 & 6

  • Practice one octave G major scale with arpeggio

  • In Essential Elements for Strings book, practice #141 "Tallis Canon" on pg. 35

  • Practice proper bow hold

    • For violins and violas: Bent pinkies and bent thumbs.  

    • For cello: Bent thumbs, pinky hangs over the edge

  • Sight read assigned, music, "Oh What a Beautiful Morning" in preparation to play it together with group at next class

  • Listen to the brief recording of "Oh What a Beautiful Morning" on the Videos - AMP II page  

 

September 27th, 2014

  • Practice proper bow hold
